New Banner!

I put this banner of Courtney Collins up in the front window a couple of weeks ago, but with the Christmas rush, I forgot to post it here. I love this banner! It's of Courtney out in the snow. She came to Rowe Photography from Open Door Christian School. I try to keep my banners in the front window very seasonal, so right now I am featuring snow photos. Sounds like we are going to get some more tonight. As long as it's not a foot of snow, I'm okay with that. My philosophy is that as long as it's going to be cold, there might as well be some snow on the ground! It makes the photography outdoors look better! Have a Happy New Year!

Xmas 2008

Here is a candid photo from my family Christmas this year. These are two of my nephews and my dad. They all got Under Armor hats this year. They all thought they looked so cool! So we made them take a photo together. I'm sure they think they look really gansta! I'm still trying to deliver last minute orders today and tomorrow, but I thought I would post this in the spirit of the season! Happy Holidays!

Picture of the Week

Okay, so it's really a card, not a picture. I hope you forgive the difference! This is a Christmas card we did from a session yesterday. Heather and Joe just adopted Haley from Guatemala and she arrived home last week. She is so cute! They wanted to give her a little time to adjust, then get portraits taken right before Christmas. She did really well! I love this card, it's so cute! Happy Holidays!!

Christmas Caroling

We went Christmas caroling in my friend Becky's neighborhood in Elyria last night. She lives off of Hilliard. There were about 15 of us that went. Apparently she used go caroling when she was a kid and she wanted her kids to experience it, so she made her boys go. I never did.

People were very surprised to see us when they opened their doors and seemed to genuinely enjoy it. We tried to keep the songs short so they didn't have to stand with their doors open for long. It was more fun than I thought it was going to be! It's nice to know in this time of hustle and bustle, when we're trying to get everyone's orders ready for Christmas, you can do one small thing (free, too!) to make someone's holiday special. It is the true meaning of Christmas.
Now we might go to my friend, Vern's, neighborhood Sunday, so be careful when you open your doors this weekend! You might find a group of really bad singers!!! Happy Holidays!

Gift Certificates

Rowe Photography offers gift certificates for those times that the perfect gift needs to be created later. Get them now for the holidays and use them at a later date. All denominations available. Just call the studio at 440.926.1440 and we'll fix you right up!

Blood Bank!

I went to the Life Share Lorain County Bloodbank yesterday to give blood as I try to do faithfully. It was really busy. I mean way busier than normal. Usually this time of year it is slower for them because of the holidays. They told me that they were giving away a FREE $25 GAS CARD for making a blood donation. And if you were able to do a double red cell donation (usually by appt.), you would get two cards so $50 in FREE GAS! I told Walter and he went and did it, too! I told them I would tell everyone I knew and figured this would be a great way to reach a lot of people. Hopefully a lot of people read this! Tell everyone you know. If you go, tell them I sent you! They said they would be doing it until January 17th, but I don't know if they will run out of gas cards and end the promotion early. So, if you're thinking about doing it, you might not want to wait! Go give blood!

My Family

Well, my niece Devan had her sweet 16 party last night with all of her friends. The first photo of my niece Devan and my brother David was of them dancing to "Butterfly Kisses". Devan cried through the whole song! My family (or most of it anyway by this late hour) was in attendance. At the end of almost every party we play Bon Jovi's "Never Say Goodbye" and stand in a circle and sway. This always brings my mother to tears, followed usually by Devan. This was the photo I took after the song. I lay down on the floor and shoot up on the circle. An old trick from days of wedding photography.
A good time was had by all!

Annual Turkey Bowl

Here is the photo from the annual turkey bowl. I have wanted to put it on the blog for a while, but my camera was dead when it came time for the photo, and a friend took it instead. I just got my hands on it today. My family has this flag football event every year on Thanksgiving morning. This year wasn't horrible. A little cold, but not nearly as bad as last year, when it was raining!!! Of course, I don't play, just watch from the sidelines! My three brothers play, along with my nephew and some friends and their kids. It is a good time for everyone!

Technology is Great

My family had a get together yesterday, and we were discussing how teenager today never have actual conversations anymore. They just text back and forth. My brother, Paul, tells me about this service called Sly Dial. It is designed so that you never need to actually speak to someone on their cell phone again! Okay, here's the deal...
You have to call your sister, but you hope you will get her voicemail, because you don't want to lose 30 minutes of the day having a meaningless conversation. You call 267-slydial and give them the number you want to leave a voicemail to. It will patch you automatically through to the person's voicemail, where you can leave a message. Very shortly thereafter, they will get a voicemail message from you. You will never have to actually speak to anyone again! How cool is that?!
I asked if it's a free service, and it is. You have to listen to a commercial before getting to leave your message, which is how they make their money. Now we will all only communicate through voicemail!!!!!!!

The Leg Lamp

Last night was Old Fashioned Christmas in downtown Grafton. The theme this year was from the movie A Christmas Story. You know, Ralphie, the Red Rider BB Gun, etc. So.....

Several years ago I bought a leg lamp for my brother for his birthday. He is a HUGE fan of that movie. Just like the movie, my sister-in-law isn't very fond of it. Every year right after Thanksgiving, my brother lovingly places the lamp in his front window. It stays illuminated until Christmas for the whole neighborhood to see.

Since the theme this year went with the lamp, I asked if I could borrow it for my front window at the studio for Friday night. My sister in law, Connie, said I could come get it and keep it as long as I needed! I picked it up on Thursday night and will return it to him tomorrow, so he's not without it for long! It worked out perfectly, I think, for me and Connie! Thanks, Paul. It was a big hit and people loved looking at it in the window!

Computer Issues!

Well, I found out late last week that my server is having major issues. Just about every day I would come in and find a blue screen on my computer. My computer service guy came out and looked at it and said the drives were failing! He had to special order bigger ones and he is coming out today to replace them. I'm nervous! He also told me in the meantime to stop doing backups to try to tax the system less! Doesn't that sound like the opposite of what you should do if your drives are failing?!
I trust them, so I'll let you all know how it goes today. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Facebook challenge!

OMG! Okay, so I photographer I know who has a studio in southern Ohio has had a facebook account longer than I have. His goal was to get to 1,000 friends, which he achieved the other day. So now he has put a challenge out there to get 2009 friends by the end of 2009! I have to take him up on this challenge. I currently have 871 friends, so I am behind him. SO..... TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO BE MY FRIEND ON FACEBOOK! I have to give it a shot. I will approve ANYONE that asks to be my friend. No more being picky! I can do it!!!!

Economic Stimulus Package

Here is our special for the month of December for senior portraits. You can click on it to see it larger. Winter break is a great time to have them done! Snow is great for photographing, and the way things look right now, I think we are going to get some more! Session must be completed by December 30th. So call now to make your appointment!

The Porch

Well, not too long ago Walter found out that a house down the street was abandoned and owned by the village. He liked the look of the front porch, so he started using it for some outdoor poses, like the one you see here. As I came to work today, there was a huge crane on the lot and the house was half gone! They completely knocked it down today! I called Walter and told him his porch was gone. He was bummed, but it only motivates him more to find more new spots! Change is inevitable!!!

It's Official!

I was recently asked by the Professional Photographer of Ohio to give a short program at our state convention in Dayton in February. They have asked me to speak about blogging and social networking to reach clients. I was hesitant to do this. It's a little scary! But I sent off my profile photo and title of the program today, so I guess it's official and I'm committed! (Or I'll have to commit myself before it gets here!)
Any comments of support from well wishers that actually read my blog would be appreciated, so I know you're actually out there! It will help boost my confidence that this whole blogging thing really works! Wish me lots of luck and I'll keep you guys posted as I get closer!

Black Friday

Well, I survived Black Friday! I started out this morning at 5am at Wal Mart at Great Northern. It was a ZOO! The entire parking lot was full, and people were actually parking at the hotel next door and walking in. After driving around multiple times, I actually found a parking spot. Then I got inside, and saw the real traffic jam!! I went there specifically to get a GPS unit, and of course, the electronics department was horrendous! But they did have what I was looking for. I then preceded to stand in line at the checkout for about 20 minutes. After I got the heck out of there, I met my sisters-in-law Laurie and Heidy and my niece Devan at the mall to continue the quest for the perfect deal!
We were all over that mall! Started at Penneys, did Sears, Macys, Target and finally back to Wal Mart again to look at all the things I didn't get a chance to the first time!
I did well on my shopping list, but still more to go! For those of you out there with me, way to go! Have a great weekend! Susan

Finally!

Sorry I haven't blogged lately, but I have been shut out of my Blog lately! I changed my email address, and apparently changed in on blogger, but I forgot that small fact! I was getting really frustrated with Blogger, and it was me all along! And I'm not even blonde!
I had an ordering appointment tonight with Courtney Collins, and I had such a good time with them! They are a really fun family and we had a great time in their ordering appointment! People like that make my job really fun. You'll be seeing more of her on the website later. Big surprises!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Playing in the Dark!

Well, here's this week's Picture of the Week. It's of Sammi, who came to Rowe Photography from Elyria High School. As it gets darker earlier everyday, it gets harder to get after school sessions completed before dark. This was one of the last shots Walter took during her session, at about 5:30pm. He liked playing with flash in the darkness. It gives it a really moody look! Hopefully you'll see more! Have a great weekend!

Fashion Chic in downtown Grafton

William came in for his senior session a couple of days ago. He brought a Polo magazine ad look that he wanted to achieve. He specifically wore this outfit and brought a dog to achieve this particular look. Walter did several versions of the pose, including walking down the center of the street with the dog! I just chose this pose to show the illustration of how we can work with your ideas in your session to get the look you want. Not bad for downtown Grafton, huh! I hope he likes these!

First Movie Night

Well, I went to see Madagascar 2 tonight with Walter, my friend Vern and her son Sammy, who is 2 years old. This was his first movie. He was all excited....until we actually had to go through the cinema door into a dark room! The beginning of the whole movie experience was a little iffy for him. He was scared of the dark room and the loud movie previews. I had to physically carry him in saying, No! No! No! We eventually talked him into going down the movie isle and having a seat. Bribing him with popcorn and candy all the way I'm sure did the trick!
In the end, he loved it! He didn't get the whole whispering thing in the movie, he just shouted out whatever he saw on the screen. It's definetly fun to take an everyday occurrence and see it through brand new eyes! It was a lot of fun!

Twilight - The Movie?

This is a photo of Hannah. We've been photographing her since she was a baby. Now she's in junior high, and has definite ideas of her own about her portraits. This time when she came in she wanted her eyes to be gold, like the movie Twilight that's coming out this weekend. Something about vampires. I really don't get it, but whatever. She's really into that. Here is the before and after of the eyes. Does it look real enough? You can click on the images to make them larger to get a better view!

Blogging by the wayside...

Sorry, everyone! I have been kind of ignoring my blog lately, because I have been sucked into the world of Facebook! For those of you on Facebook, you have probably seen me there a lot, and for those of you not on Facebook, you probably thought I fell off the face of the earth!
Facebook gives me a great way for people to see my work "by accident". You guys have to go to this blog to see our work, but on Facebook, I just put it out there and anyone who is my friend sees what I post! How awesome is that! I hated Facebook when I first joined, because I was a MySpace user, and Facebook seemed kinda generic. But now that I use it a lot, it is awesome! I am on it so much, that I actually don't find the need to blog as much or put stuff on MySpace. I will try to keep up with all of them, as in the winter it's a little less stressful here. Wish me luck, and look for me on Facebook. I'm sure you'll see me there!

Picture of the Week

Oops! It's Saturday, and I didn't post the picture of the week yesterday, like a good girl. Well anyway, here it is. It is of Jerry Herman. His session is online now, too. He had a really great session! I loved a lot of them, as you can tell. This picture of the week was taken of him on our roof, with Walter at sidewalk level. A really cool angle! Have a great weekend!

Jerry

Jerry had an awesome session! He is definetely a natural in front of the camera! Too bad I couldn't submit him as a SPA model! Too late! He came to Rowe Photography from Wellington High School. I loved his photos in his letterman jacket. A great way to add a different look to an outfit!

Halloween Fun

Last night was our annual Halloween Costume contest night out. If you can't already tell, we went as the cast of Deal or No Deal, complete with Howie Mandel! We went to Church Street in Amherst, because we have won there in past years. However, we didn't win this year. We got fourth place!!! We never got a photograph of all eight girls together with Howie, so I posted two photos we took, each one a partial group.
A great time was had by all! It was a lot of fun, and the crowd loved us! A big thanks to my mom, Rose, for making all of the dresses! Vern and I made the briefcases, and we looked great!
In the first photo, I'm right behind Howie and in the second one I'm the one sitting down. My wig was a bit of a pain, but overall a lot of fun!
We are already planning our group costume for next year! It will be awesome!!! Have a great weekend! Susan

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Well, it's Friday, and you know what that means. It's time for the picture of the week. This week it's of Lindsey, who came to us from Brunswick High School. Her session was awesome! Her outfits were colorful, her hair had a nice dark contrast, and I loved her funky eyeglasses! This photo was taken out in the field by the studio. I love the way the chair compliments her outfit and the brown weeds. Walter has such an eye for those details! Great job, Lindsey! Hope you love your photos as much as we do!

Have a great weekend, everyone! And if you're going out for Halloween tonight, be careful! Watch out for trick-or-treaters!

Picture of the Week

Here is my picture of the week! I love it! It is of Jenna Gonzalez. I loved this dress! It was polka dot and very retro. She has an awesome session, as you can see because it's online now. I loved the factory ones with the dress. This one and one where she is looking down walking are two of my favorites. I loved all her outfits and how she took her hair down part way through the session. It gave her a totally different look. Way to go, Jenna! Have a great weekend everyone!

Reason to Hire a Professional Photographer

I went to Niagara Falls earlier this week with my parents. We were met there by a couple they are friends with that live in Canada, Bernie and Myrna. My friend Becky and her mom Marilyn went, too. Becky and her mom were at the blackjack table while we went to the falls. We had our photo taken there, but I really wanted a photo of all seven of us together.

Once we all were together right before Bernie and Myrna left for home, we got together and pulled a stranger off the street to take a photo of all us of together. The beauty of digital photography is that you get to see the results instantly. He took the first photo with my camera and went to use a second one. I checked my camera and there was nothing there. He took the photo with the second camera and I handed him my camera and asked him to take another one. I figured he hadn't pushed the button hard enough. He took the photo again, and I gave him $5 as a tip, since the guy we happened to pick was the valet guy. I felt bad we had kept him there that long. As he disappeared, I checked my camera again and there was still no photo there! Bernie checked the second camera, and there was nothing on his, either!!!! I was not a happy camper!

Moral of the story: You get what you pay for! This was a moment I wanted to capture. We asked an amateur and we got ripped off! There are definitely times you should only trust a professional to capture the important times in life!

Picture of the Week

Well, it's Friday, and time for Picture of the Week. This week's choice is of Heather Sheppard from Keystone High School. Walter took her down to the laundromat for part of her session. She did a lot of cute poses down there, but this one of her in the dryer is priceless! It is too cute! Who would have thought?! Have a great weekend!

Walter's day in court!

About two weeks ago, we were photographing my family portrait. During the session a policeman drove thru the lot where we were parked and noticed that Walter's sticker was expired on his license plate. By the time we got back to the parking lot, the van was already hooked up to a tow truck and the policeman was writing a ticket. He said he ran the plate and it didn't match the van it was on.

We were very perplexed as to how Walter could have missed renewing his license plate sticker. You don't understand. I'm married to the original boyscout. I don't think he's ever had a overdue library book!

To make a very long story shorter, we found out that when we traded in our van, Walter paid to have the plates transferred. Apparently, the dealership skipped that part of the transaction, and never registered our vehicle. I also contacted the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles and found out that coincidentally they never mailed out a renewal notice this year for that sticker. Apparently it was a computer glitch!

Walter had to go to court today for having plates not registered to a vehicle. We had the state send us a letter stating that they never contacted us about the renewal and a letter from the dealership stating that they never registered our vehicle. We figured it couldn't hurt to take that evidence into court. After reading the letters, THE STATE DECIDED TO DROP ALL CHARGES! Walter didn't have to pay court fines or anything since everyone screwed up! YEAH! It's nice to know that sometimes the system can work in your favor!

Picture of the Week

Well, it's Friday, so I need to post my picture of the week. This week it's of Gary Edwards from Midview High School. I love the simplicity of the pose and all the color harmonies. Walter found the old chair at his dad's house, and it's so cool! The fall colors have been beautiful so far, and the weather has been cooperating! I can't wait until you see next week's picture of the week! Walter took it today, and if I could have had it ready, I would have used it! Stay tuned!
For those of you going to homecomings, have fun and be careful! Have a great weekend!

Guy Frenzy!

We have had a huge run on guy sessions lately! I think the senior guys in the area just decided that now would be a good time for senior portraits. Just about all the slideshows on the blog right now are guys. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with that. I love those sessions. They were great. But for a while there we were photographing mostly girls. Yesterday all of our sessions were of guys. I have several session slideshows to post, and most of them are guys. See guys!? Getting your senior portraits taken is not as bad as you think! Check out the guys we've done recently. They had some awesome sessions! Don't wait. And have a great weekend!

Picture of the Week

OMG! I forgot to do the picture of the week yesterday! And I was three for three! Oh well. This week's picture of the week is of Madalyn McMinn, who came to us from Wellington High School. She went down the street with Walter to take some photos, and it looked like rain, so I ran them down some umbrellas. Good thing I did! It started raining just as I got to them! This photo was taken as Madalyn was walking back to the studio to change her outfit. It is soooo cute! Love it! Just like in my earlier post, when life gives you lemons.....

When life gives you lemons...

When Kyle did his session recently, it was raining hard that day. He brought his wakeboard for some photos. Walter had him change into his swimsuit, and outdoors they went! The first photo totally looks like it was taken by water, like at the beach, but it's really the road next to our studio! I love the shiny look of the street in the other wakeboard photo, too. The weather in the next few weeks will probably bring more rain, but it presents an opportunity to create some really unique stuff! If you've got a session coming up, pray for rain! You might get some cool stuff that no one else has! You'll see more samples of it coming to the website, so keep your looking for them!

New Banner!

Well, my other new banner went up yesterday. It is of Rachel Clark. She came to Rowe Photography from Elyria Catholic High School. I loved her lime green shoes! I always add a word to the banner that I think goes with the photo. The word I chose for this banner was "Fierce".
I think it is such a strong pose and she looks fierce! That word always reminds me of Christian Serriano, the last season winner from Project Runway!
Come visit my new banners in the window anytime!

Dave & Busters

Walter and I went to D&B last night with a few of our friends. The first photo is of Walter getting his butt kicked at Donkey Kong by 12 year old Taylor, with his brother Trevor looking on. Walter used to be the king of Donkey Kong, but like he said, that was 20 years ago.

The second photo is of my friend, Becky, and her son Trevor working the ticket system. They always work together on this game. Trevor is in charge of lining up the hoop on the front and Becky is in charge of lining up from the side. That's why you see her through the glass motioning for how far forward he should move. They usually win a lot of tickets! This is the favorite game there. It's nice to know that even though this is the really busy season, we can take a little break now and then to hang out with our friends!

Picture of the Week

Here is the picture of the week! Third week in a row! You should all be very impressed! This is of Tim Jaykel, who goes to Midview High School. He is in to trap shooting, so he brought his gun and accessories, and they got some really cool poses with the gun. Love it!!!! Have a great weekend! Susan

New Banner!

Well, I have finally found a guy pose that I want to use to make a new banner in our studio window at Rowe Photography.
No, you don't understand. I become very attached to my banners. I choose them very carefully, and I have to look at them every day! (only I'm usually looking at them backwards so they are the right way for those on the street!) The pink prom dress on the railroad tracks that you see on our website I love, and cannot bear to change it yet. So now I am changing my guy banner to the one you see here. It is of Aaron Frazier from Elyria High School. Walter took that pose and many other cool ones of him over by a grain factory about two blocks away. I especially love this one with the guitar strapped over his shoulder walking away. Looks like an album cover! So it is being printed at my lab now, and you will see it in my front window very soon! Have a great weekend! Susan

Apple Festival

Walter and I took his dad's car to the Apple Festival car show today. It's a 1933 Duesenberg. The car won it's class, and we got this really nice plaque. Not bad, seeing as it's the first time we've taken it to that show. Lots of people really enjoyed seeing it, because it's so unique and rare. It was a beautiful weekend for the Apple Festival. Maybe we'll do it again next year! Susan

Homecoming

Well, now that we no longer have school contracts, we no longer have dances to photograph. So what did I do with my first non-homecoming season in 20 years? I chaperoned the homecoming dance at North Ridgeville High School. My niece, Devan, is a sophomore there, and asked me to chaperone. Laurie is my sister-in-law, and Devan's mom. We actually had a good time! Here is the photo of the three of us in the school gym.

Picture of the Week

Okay, second week in a row, and I've met my goal of posting a picture of the week on Friday!!

Here is this week's. It is of Kyle Freedman of Amherst Steele High School. He swims for his school at splash zone, and wanted to go there to have some portraits taken. There are some cool poses Walter took there! This was my favorite pose. It's so unique!

Kyle wanted to incorporate swimming and basketball in a portrait, as he does both. You'll see his session here on the blog later next week. He is finishing his session on Wednesday, because it rained the day of his session. Watch for all the cool stuff later! Have a great weekend! If you're going to a homecoming, have a great time and be careful!

Picture of the Week

My goal is to have a picture of the week every Friday. I know it's a pie in the sky wish, but I'm gonna try! Here is this week's picture. It's of Mallory Girdler from Open Door Christian School. Awesome image, and my favorite for the week!

Gizmo

UPDATE: Gizmo was adopted on Sunday! I will keep you updated if it doesn't work out, but our hopes are high that he will love his new family and do well!

My friend Heather and her husband George are looking to have their dog, Gizmo, adopted to a good home. They got him before they had their two kids (6 months and 2 years old!) So now they are feeling a little overwhelmed! I told them I would try to help them out and put his picture on my blog so lots of people would get to see him!
He is a very nice dog! He is housebroken and comes with his toys, bed, etc. If you are interested, or know of anyone else who is, let me know. Thanks!

We love our job!

I just wanted to share a story I heard this morning. A mother came in to pick up her son's order and told me how pleased she was with the portraits. She has taken many photographs of her son over the years but told me how she has never gotten photographs as beautiful as these were. She said the expressions that Walter got were exactly him. She told me how her son is slightly shy and doesn't smile a lot. He said he wanted to come to Rowe Photography to have Walter take his senior portraits. She said he was so excited to come back to place the order because he knew he was going to love them, and he's never like that! She said she spent more on his portraits than his sister's that we did a few years ago. But she said that she did because he never asks for anything, and she knows that she will probably never get portraits that nice of him ever again. Stories like that really make all the time we spend on every session worthwhile!
Have a great weekend!

Facebook!

Just wanted to send it out there to let everyone know that we know have a site on Facebook! I sent out a plea for help on the blog and MacKenzie Tweardy from Elyria Catholic came in yesterday to hook me up and get me running. Just go to Facebook and search Rowe Photography and we should come up!
I don't have enough time to change the images on the website, but now I'll deal with that along with MySpace and Facebook! The internet is evil!!!!!!!!
Please go and sign up to be a fan (whatever that is), so that I feel that doing Facebook is worthwhile. See you on the web!

Birthday Weekend

This weekend I went to Columbus for my nephew's Kurt's 9th birthday. Actually it's my birthday, he was just born on it (along with my youngest brother, Paul.) So we always have a triple birthday celebration. This year was special, too, because my brother Paul turned 40! I'm older than him, but I won't tell you by how much!
This is the third year in a row that we have played baseball at his birthday party. I think he gets a big kick out of watching us old, out of shape aunts and uncles try to run the bases!
From left to right is: Laurie - sister in law, Nolan - nephew, Paul - brother, Connie his wife, David - brother, Devan-niece, my dad, Tom - brother, Shelby, Scott -neighbor, me, Cindy -neighbor, Kurt-nephew, Sarah-niece, Heidy - sister-in-law, Holly- her sister, Allison - niece and two of the neighbor kids that were Kurt's friends. It was pretty fun! I have also included a photo of Kurt with his new MP3 player that I am in charge of music for, and a photo of me and by little brother, Paul, whom I am happy to share my birthday with! We took the photo ourselves. Not bad, huh? Have a great weekend!

New Phone

Okay, I have gone to the dark side! I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago, and it has a camera on it (which I swore I never wanted!) I started taking the first couple of photos, and I'm still trying to figure it out. Today was my birthday, and my friends and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland. The photo of Vivian (my friend's daughter) drinking out of a Budweiser can was actually an empty can. I think she thought it was an actual bottle for her! We had a great time. The other photo of Vivian was taken at the fair. Hopefully I will get better at the camera phone. Right now it is the only camera I have, as I can't find the battery charger for my real camera! Hope you all had a great weekend, too!

Water World

I had to chuckle today. Morgan came in for her session and asked about the portraits that have been taken in the water. She wanted to know if she would be allowed to go in the water, too.
We have wanted to do poses like that for a while now, but at the start of the season, Walter didn't think anyone would go for it. I told him all he could do was ask them to get in the water. The worst they could do was say no. Now that we have been doing it and showing it, people are coming in requesting that they get drenched! I guess it's like the saying....
Build it and they will come. Show it, and they will want to do it!

Back to School Special

Here is the next mailer that is going out soon. I just ordered it at the printer. It's the back and the front. You can click on the image if you want to view it larger. This is a great deal if your schedule works so that you can take advantage of it! Everyone wants an after school appointment, and since we're here all day long, I figured someone that can come in during the school day should get a bonus! Times won't last long, so look at your schedule and give us a call.
Oh, and if you're on the blog looking for a slideshow, be sure to look in the senior galleries on the website. I'm changing images as fast as I can! Have a great weekend!
