Another (new) piece of furniture

Well, here is the latest addition to the Rowe Photography family of props. I saw this couch on Sunday on the curb lawn across the street from my parents house in Elyria. I immediately thought how perfect it would be set out in a field for senior portraits!

I called Walter and told him to come to my parents house with his van to pick it up. When he saw it, he was hesitant, saying he didn't know if it would work or not. I told him he was crazy. It was perfect, rips and all!! ( I even added a few more rips while waiting for him to decide if he wanted to take it or not.) Well, needless to say, he used it for the first time, and came back to the studio saying he loved it! It's nice to know I can be right every now and then!! Chair near fatality!

Well, my last blog was all about how Walter got this Arhaus chair, and has used it a few times and loves it. Today he was using it and came in to the studio about an hour ago and said "Well, I hope you like the poses I took with that chair, because it's gone." I was so upset. That was an expensive chair, and we had only had it less than a week.

I decided to call the police. Walter said it was a waste of time, the chair was gone. I told the police I wanted to file a theft report for a piece of furniture. They said they would send an officer right down. A few moments later, they called back and asked if I was missing a chair. Then they asked if it was a mulit-colored chair! I said yes! They said an officer reported back that he had seen a couple of teenagers carrying a chair down the street a little earlier. They went in search of the chair, and low and behold they found it on someone's front porch! A couple of teenagers had carried it off because they thought it was trash!!!!! They made the teenagers carry it back to where they found it and come apologize.

I am so thankful to the police department of Grafton. I'm glad they were keeping a watchful eye around town! Thanks, guys!!!!

New Prop!

Rowe Photography's newest prop!

Walter saw this catalogue from Arhaus and fell in love with the chair. He was determined to get one, and drove to the east side of Cleveland to pick one up. He was so excited. Mary was our first senior to get to use it yesterday. I think it is really cute! I told him he couldn't use it hanging from a tree like the catalog shot! If he asks you to do a pose like that, tell him no! I know he is going to try to figure out a way to replicate that! Have a great day!

Busy!

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I actually enjoyed some time riding my motorcycle on Sunday, so if you slideshow isn't here yet, it's my fault! We're doing the best we can to keep up. Response has been great!

I'm trying to change the images as frequently as I can to keep things fresh! There are so many good ones, it's hard to pick what will be featured. New Photo of Me!

Okay, everybody get a good laugh! Here is my most recent photo. Yep, that's me, Susan Rowe. Since I do all the blogging on this site, I figured for those of you who don't know me, you might as well see the person that's usually behind the scenes!

Raven Reed came in for her portraits yesterday, and she has entered a lot of pageants. She brought in her pageant dress and some of her tiaras. I thought it would be fun to wear one around the studio for a while, and Walter wanted to take my picture wearing it. I think it turned out kinda cute! Now if I just weren't so darn old, it would be even better!

Well, Walter just got back from a dive trip in the lower Bahamas on a boat called the Sea Dragon. Eight people went. He just wanted to share a few of the photos he took while there. Now it's back to work for him!
