NEW WEBSITE!!

Well, our new website has finally launched! And tons of new photos will follow very shortly! I will now be able to upload to change the photos on the site myself, so I hope to do it way more often than I have lately.

I know I have been neglecting this blog, but I'm going to try to do better! I hope you like the look of the new site, and watch for the new photos coming as soon as I get the ftp site info. Have a great day!

Vivian Joy Cruz

One of my dearest friends gave birth to a little girl today! St. Patrick's Day! It is also my other very dear friend's birthday (her sister)! What a day. It started very early with a phone call at 4am that labor had started and off I went to the hospital.

Vivian was born at 9:04 am with very little effort on her mom's part. It was an amazing thing to see! Everyone is doing well! Here's a picture of me holding her moments after she was born! So cool!!!!! Have a great St. Patrick's Day!

Road Trip

Walter and I made a trip to Cuyahoga Falls yesterday to visit Visualizations Photography. Aaron and Joanna Patterson, the owners, are friends of ours. They asked us to come to their studio and give them some advice on how to take better photographs and better utilize their camera room. They said they have always admired Walter's photography and they valued our opinions.

We had a really great time there. We spent most of the day there. It was fun helping a photographer think outside the box for a change. I think we really opened his eyes to some new techniques and showed them some areas they had right around their studio that they had never utilized. Especially their outdoors. They said if there aren't leaves on the trees, they don't go outside for portraits. I think we really changed their perspective on that one. We showed them lots of neat things to photograph in the snow! Things Walter loves to do. I hope we helped them out. They will be coming to our studio in April to see how we do things. We'll keep you posted!

Paradise!

I just got this photo emailed to me today! This is from when we went to Tucson, Arizona for the Senior Portrait Artists seminar. One of the evenings that we were free for dinner we talked a whole group of Ohio photographers into going to In-N-Out Burger.

It is awesome! Best burgers and fries anywhere! It's a west coast chain, so none around here. We all piled in cars, set the GPS, and ventured about 30 minutes away to eat there. We talked a teenager sitting on the patio eating to take our picture in front of the sign. I'm the second from right in the back row, and Walter is next to me in the black shirt. It was a really good time! Maybe someday the franchise will move out here to the great white north!

Tucson!!!!

Oh, my gosh! The Rowe Photography staff just got back from Tucson, Arizona. There we attended the annual SPA convention (senior portrait artists). We took some awesome images while there! Fifteen seniors attend as model winners. We just signed up for the program, so I will have information coming to me soon. If you're a 2009 senior photographed by Rowe, you could enter to win an all expense paid trip to Las Vegas to be a SPA model! More details later!!!

I'm showing just a couple of images that we took while there. The really cool stuff will be coming shortly. Just wanted to give you a taste!
